We will go over the questions of scheduling, in detail, in the third part of the course, which is dedicated to drawing up your personalised learning schedule.

If you wish to gain time, schedule a recurring event called "Learn how to learn" every day at the same time, until you have mastered the course. To compensate, you will need to catch up or extend your deadline. In that event, your schedule will be put out. Now that you know how much time this course could take you, and how to split your sessions:Īn unexpected event can occur suddenly and can affect one of your sessions. You will learn during the course why it is better to plan shorter and more frequent sessions.

Again, you are free to organise yourself as you see fit.Īll the same, here is the split that I recommend:

Split up the courseĪccording to your level of commitment, you will split up the course in different ways. You are free to follow the course in the way that best suits you. One of the strengths of online learning is exactly this flexibility. There is no good or bad level of commitment. You design your learning plan and implement it. You go over and above the advice, have discussions with your peers online and off-line.

You are passionate about the subject and determined to achieve full mastery. You follow all the advice and take the time to think about what you are learning in order to absorb it. You want to improve your learning ability and to devote time to develop new skills. You watch the videos, simply read the text and carry out the assessments as you go along, without spending too much time on the activities in the chapters.

You wish to acquire the skills, but spending the minimum amount of time doing so. You are curious, but not necessarily determined to really improve your learning ability. You follow the course as you would watch a film. I suggest that you proceed in three stages. Nonetheless, to increase your chances of continuing to the end and enjoying your new skills, I advise you strongly to plan how you will follow it. If you follow the instructions as you go along, the assessments will be easy! 😉 Plan how to follow the courseįollowing this course will not take you very long (between one and 10 hours, according to your level of commitment). If you pass all the assessments, we will send you a certificate of achievement. Remember that learning is a verb – it’s an activity! I can’t emphasise enough how much more you’ll benefit from this course if you practice as much as possible.Īt the end of each of the four course parts, you will be able to assess yourself by taking a quiz, or by carrying out an activity corrected by your peers (the thousands of other learners who will be following the course with you). In other words, you will be able to repeat what you have seen. By practising during the sessions, you will gain new skills.

To get the full benefit of this course, I suggest that you take the time to complete the activities. Some students will be able to learn just from watching the videos. Above all, you will find tasks to enable you to practise for yourself. In the text, you will find reminders, some anecdotes and additional resources. In the videos, I shall explain all the theoretical ideas to you, in a fairly summarised way, in order to then put them straight into practice through concrete examples. Totally familiarise yourself with the format of the courseĪs you can see (and read), this course has been designed using two formats: video and text. It is essential that you have a good understanding of how the course works so that you can get a good grasp of it. You study of your own free will, for yourself and at your own pace. Unlike a traditional course, here you are not obliged to come to class and it isn't me, the teacher, who will make you do anything at all. If this is the first time that you are pursuing an online course, the format might surprise you. How does this course work? What should I expect?
